Hey there, celestial crew! Ready for a dash of divine news?
New Achievement
Our valiant heroes are constantly out there, doing their hero thing, and frankly, it’s time we gave them proper credit for their feats. Drumroll, please, for the introduction of the Hotshot achievement.
The 3rd-tier version pops up after any four feats, the 2nd-tier needs a mythical twelve, and the 1st-tier requires even more. If your hero has met the requirements, you should already have seen a new achievement popup.
New Badge Thingy
To make tracking and bragging about your feats and deeds easier, we’ve added a nifty counter to god’s profile page. Right next to your hero’s name and medals, you’ll find a thingy with a number — which is the total of all your achievements and feats. Click on it to dive into the details.
New Feats
Bored with old feats and craving something new? Here are five fresh feats for your hero:
- Get the 1st place in bingo at the end of a day (might be tough, but scores three points right off the bat)
- Complete 5 side jobs in a row (counting starts after this update; also you can ditch side jobs you don’t like using newspaper ad)
- Deliver both a wanted monster and a wanted artifact within one day (within 24 hours is fine too)
- Craft a mystery box (find two bold items starting with ‘m’ and tell your hero to combine them)
- Win three spars with guildmates in a row (because friends who spar together, stay together)
And Even More
- Godpower charge for arena wins rule has changed. Win a fight and you’ll get back up to two charges (twice than before) — if charges or influences were used in the duel. UPD: there is still a good chance to get a charge just by sending influences.
- The town your hero is heading back to is now marked on the map. To see it in the mobile apps, make sure to update to the latest version (iOS, Android).
- Mushroom season is here! Till the end of this month heroes will keep stumbling upon toadstools, which grant random aura upon
eatingactivation.
Thanks for the update! Love the feats :)
Happy mushroom picking 🍄 🎃
Thanks for even more fun!
No more charges in the Arena? Well, I think this update is a failure, but it also reduces the frustration of the arena. It’s still six bad, four good, though. Free-to-play players have one less way to get charged, and this change is too radical, and I hope to change it back someday. XD

May the mycelium eat our brains
I’m now a Hotshot! 💃 Thank you! 💥
The idea of giving back up to 2 charges should make the arena fights more lively.
But the F2P player base will no longer go to the Arena, as it no longer provides benefits beyond the gold, which always was a secondary reward.
Me as a small paying Player also will no longer touch the Arena. It’s not worth it anymore.
Which is a shame as the Arena was a fun challenge for me.
Hope that part gets reversed at some point.
The rest of the update is really nice and I like it.
Looking forward to more
Thank you very much developers! GOD SQUAD FOREVER!!!
As a free to play player with 1600+ arena matches, I don’t ever see myself sending to arena ever again unless arena starts rewarding at least 1 charge on win again.
So wait, do you have to use 2 full charges to get them back if you win? Or do you just need to have used some GP?
Can we go back to getting one on win even if no GP used?
The new arena reward rules are a direct way to lose all F2P users. I’m afraid I have nothing else to do in this game.
new updates always make my day a little brighter!
The rule for earning Godpower charges from arena wins has changed. Now, you can recover up to two charges (twice as many as before) — but only if you used them during the duel. This change effectively removes the ability to earn free Godpower, which severely restricts gameplay and encourages players to spend money on it.
I like mushroom 🍄 season. I love seasoning my food with mushrooms 🍄 🍄 🍄 and eating them with vigor!
I’m am glad about the grand majority of the updates I’ve witnessed throughout the years I’ve been playing this game.
However, I believe that the new arena rule will render this foundational adventure useless in the near future, as the main reward for winning it has been stripped of the game.
The arena used to have two rewards:
- the opponent’s gold
- a charge
Most casual players I encountered in that adventure sent to the Arena with the goal of out-influencing their opponent using only the 50gp they began with, winning a charge.
The only time I’d see casual gods spend charges was when their opponent had a large sum of gold, which is a rather rare occurrence.
With this update, I don’t see any reason why most players would keep participating in this adventure, as the possibility for an outcome favourable to them is outweighed by the chances of losing.
not to mention the impact that removing this charge income might have in other adventures
Nevertheless, thank you devs for making such an amazing game overall and for being the most receptive game developers of whose game I’ve had the pleasure to play.
Thanks again for a great update!
I noticed it’s now easier for a hero to die from monsters because they swapped out the dice, but aside from that, feels relieving to know where they’re going at least. I’m not a PvP person so I’m unable to share the arena reward changes so I give that a pass, though nicely done with the feats and achivos.
woah mushrooms!
Bit late to the party but could we please rework or restore the arena rules, it is genuinely making less people want to play, and makes arena less enjoyable even for us ELO chasers, as long and unreliable queue times are worse than matching someone with 400 ELO. I’d like to at least play every 4 hours even if I cant match someone with a above 500 ELO everytime. Someones gotta have poor ELO, might as well give them a reason to do it. Because right now? Charge farmers no longer have a reason to join arena.
