In the murky, mysterious mists in the dim, dark, distant past, there swirled the Great Stromboli, whose waters crashed upon the rustic rocky shores of the Isla Siciliana, ruled over by the gentle-but-firm great goddess the wise and powerful Trinacria, the three legged patrona of the three-cornered Isla – a lovely land which may not have been one of milk and honey, is known for its tunny and olives, and its dry summer wind.
At one time, Triacria raised up the great hero Archimedes, whose brilliant mind conceived defenses for the Isla that were able to burn ships from a distance – but this was not enough to save the people.
Amid the waves of hostile takeovers, the Goddess Trinacria has raised many heroes. Perhaps the most successful was Gianni di Procida, who ably threw off the yoke of tyranny for a time.
But all Trinacria’s previous heroes have failed to secure independence for her people.
So she has raised up a brave, beautiful and bold heroine, Mariasuccorsa, who will always have the perpetual help of her matrona goddess. The goddess Trinacria has brought her heroine to Godville, where she will grow strong and powerful and dreams of the day return in power and glory, to liberate the people of her once happy homeland from under the boot’s occupation.
Time passes, about three months, and Mariasuccorsa has grown in strength, power and ability . . .
After the death of her first beloved pet, the Firefox named Bess, Mariasuccorsa’s anguish and anger has begun to lead her, inexorably, toward the dark side. Goddess Trinacria knows that there is much power in the dark side, and is helping the heroine channel her anger purposefully.
Even the taming of a new pet, the Dustbunny named Scratchy, has not dulled the pain of Mariasuccorsa’s loss. Opponents in the Arena had better watch out!
In the realm of the arena, Mariasuccorsa’s skill level and cunning has increased to the point at which she is winning at a better than 2:1 ratio with her 48th and 49th arena victories coming on Day 604 G.E.
