Hero's Chronicles

Those who are reading this like the legends foretold. Be warned for my story doesn’t carry only my achievements but also the worst of my sins…

Chapter 1: Start

“In the darkest hour, live a soulless knight
Within Gods’ Warth, he stood still and might
When the world’s end come close and all…….
He was the one who stopped it with one call”

Everyone thought it was just a myth, but I know better. It is because I was there and I know the truth. The Gods tried to destroy the world for reasons I do not know but what stopped them was a hero.

The hero gave his services to the Gods to please their greediness and stooped so low as to follow their commands. Yes, Heroes have free will yet the Gods restricted us, from doing quests to building something for their greatness. It wasnt that the Gods created us, we created them…

The truth I learn is extremely confidential and I ask the reader of this book, which is the last of my dreams, to keep the truth disclosed to anyone else but you. I’ll say this once, “Gods are made from wishes”.

It is for this reason why we came to be. To serve a God and to prevent him from destroying our world. But with all the Gods out there…Is what I am doing right now enough?

….But before you get involved in this and learn deeper of the truth I behold. You must first learn my life.

I was born a noble and lived a pretty normal life. You won’t find me in dangerous situations like this and I was pretty carefree. But things can really change in a moment. Who would’ve thought a simple common fire would take so many things from me.

My family’s fortune, gone in a flash and while I’m not used to working on hard tasks, I resorted to evil means. Assasin. Thief. Hitman. Things I never planned to do and things I didnt want to do.. I had no choice but to do it. Looking back right now, I have only one thing to say “It was pretty fun back then…”

Back then was where it started, back then was where I met, Turty. She was a rather weird fellow. She was perverted, yet we were almost the same. We did evil things together. We raided houses and even stole the badges of the gaurds we beat, much like a trophy.

Even then, Turty and I were still evil. I would often leave her in a quest and the next time I saw her, she would boast how she finished it and defeated the enemy by herself. And as to get revenge, she would sometimes leave me at a quest too. She was my rival, my friend, and everything I had when I left when the forces of nature took everything else from me.

Chapter 2: Lost

After all the self-made quests we’ve done, we made one different from the other. Different in a way that it takes us outside… outside of Godville. All people know that outside is the realm of monsters. Only heroes who can be reborn are the ones who can carelessly wander around our world which is unknown to others.

A tall tall wall looms in front of us, and a new world awaits us beyond it. We set foot outside. It was unnaturally quiet so we kept our guards even when we were just about to enter the woods. After a few while… we relaxed a bit, without a trace of a monster on sight.

It felt unnatural we can’t see any hero in this part of the woods. The trees grew bigger and the sunlight slowly stops penetrating the ground as we walk deeper into the forest. We were alone. No. I felt like we weren’t. We weren’t alone. Then Turty stopped as I was following her.

“Owy, you better gear up..” Turty said. Then shortly, I realized what she meant. I felt monsters coming.

“I already know….” I replied.

After a moment of silence, we heard thier appraoch… They were coming in slowly. Their aura felt scarier than mine. But what I didnt like most was their number… After all the quest we have finished, nothing could have prepared us for this. Giants lead the march, goblins followed them and more stayed hiding at the back. It was like an army.

Only 2 Giants charged at us, they were nothing like the gaurds we fought. We couldnt block their attacks and our slashes seems to hurt them only like a needle. They had no mercy and obviously have the advantage. The fight continued for just a few minutes but we were on our limits and the way back was missing. (Someone must have taken my badge trail that day.)

So we ran. We just ran. Hoping to reach a safe place. Then our legs gave up and we stopped. We rested until we could move again. But.

Few moments later, we realized our resting spot wasn’t safe. Monsters already found us and we were again outnumbered. Surrounded by these things, we regret… everything we’ve done. I was trembling…. trembling that I was gonna lose everything. Monsters got ready to attack…. I closed my eyes. Everything got so quiet. I could feel my heart beating. And I thought it was really over for me………

And silence continued

But then. As I might say now “One moment is all it takes to change your life.”

Chapter 3: Pain

As I felt terror, the brightess light shone upon the forest. It was a fireball heading towards us. I thought that at least it won’t burn us like it was there to save us, but it didnt. It spared no one. I was lucky enough to live through the burn but…. everything else wasn’t.

I crawled to where Turty’s burnt body was, trying to ignore all the pain in my body. “Senpai! Don’t you dare die on me. You are stronger than this! Come on!” I shouted as I was pushing her body back and forth thinking that she would wake up.

“Live…. n…..” She said… barely moving at all. Those were the last of the words she spoke.

I dug my sword onto the ground and stood up.

“Gods! I stand! To initiate the most taboo of your ordeal! Save my friend and in return I shall forever be of your service!”

No one replied…. As I expected….Even then… I wept… I cried….

After I got to my senses, I realized it wasn’t over. The ground shook as more monsters were coming. If we knew they could organize themselves like this, we shouldn’t have left…

They appeared on top of the crater, where the dead body lies and where I stood. They set their eyes on me, but this time I’m not intimitaded. I accepted my death back then. I’m not expecting another miracle to save me. I just wanted it all to be over.

The pain on me and the sadness I felt, I wanted them to be over. But then before I gave up, I also wanted my feelings to take form. Maybe deep down, I wanted more fun in the end.

Adrenaline rushed throughout my body. I know I’m still damaged amd bleeding but it kept me moving. Slash there. Dodged that. I was keeping up with them. I killed a few which is good enough for a half-dead half-burnt guy…. I continued slashing until a giant ended up throwing me to a tree. I smiled. For a reason I didnt know, I smiled.

I’m still alive after all that. I believed a god was beside me. So I said what I thought outloud again.

“Hey Gods, Give me a name I can worship. Even though I’m not hero. I can become one myself. Without your immortality, I will fight!” I shouted.

I jumped down. Diving to the giant, I stabbed his head. I dug deep into his face and cut it all the way down. The other monsters then wavered. So I thought I stood a chance… but then I didnt. They grouped up and trapped me. With my back on the trees and them around me, I was back to square one.

Chapter 4: Creation

“I heard your voice, tiny one. In exchange for me granting the most taboo of wishes a god would do. Take responsibility.” A voice out of nowhere shook the ground of where we stand. I barely even believed I was worthy to be spoken to by a God. But then, he was a different God.

What you call demons are evil being are they not? In this world, these demons you speak of, are on the same level as Gods. They were considered gods. Evil or Good, Gods existed. And I believed, what called me was what you would call, a Demon.

The monsters looked scared and are almost ready to run for thier lives. But in my case, I was confused. I put my guard up due to my instinct and got ready for what this “God” is gonna give me.

“Give me your best shot, Almighty One. Do what you must.” I said after preparing myself.

“Very well said, human.” After that, light came out from Turty. She floated up high. The grew a bit dimmer yet she was sparkling. Then a sudden burst of air came out which seemed to be coming from her.

Scared of whats happening, I confronted the God. “What are you doing with her?!?! You can’t! Stop! I like her the was she is!”

“Silence! You take responsibility of your own word! You already gave me your soul!”

“Then, I’ll just have to give it back to him.” Said in a familiar voice, just suprised me.

It was Turty who said that. She appeared much like a Goddess with pure white dress, floating gracefully and shining like the stars. She then looked furious.

“In the case of I, being made to a God. You dare interrupt this Man in his noble sacrifice to create me!” Said Turty in a fearsome voice to the forest. It was like she said it to someone.

Then out of where she directed her proclamation, a portal appeared and came out was a guy, floating in the air, but covered in darkness and blood. “You defy me, a God long ago made before you? I am the creator! Not them!”

I was like nothing to them. Even the monster which tried to kill me got ignored. The focus was on the gods that could kill us if we don’t pay enough attention. I backed off.

Then they both put out their weapons out of thin air and they got ready. With my instinct telling me to guard up a while ago, I now think its better if I hide.

Chapter 5: Power

They charged at each other in the blink of an eye. Their weapons clashed and you could see the slice in the wind. Sparks flew and the gigantic trees fall down. They exchanged a few more blows until the sunlight is finally able to penetrate the deep jungle space. The monsters already retreated in fear while I just stood captured by the battle.

The Demon God backed off for a moment. “It seems I underestimated your sword skill. But in the end, thats all you know and you’re still an inexperienced God.”

He stretch out his hand and what happened next was just a release of tremendous power. From one concentrated lightning bolt comes a thousand more that scattered throughout the jungle.

Turty even with her lightning speed failed to dodge those with the same speed. She took multiple direct hits but that wasn’t enough to being her down.

“Oh you and your cheap tricks. What do you hope to accomplish with your zaps?!” Turty annoyingly commented.

“Just to weaken you.” the demon answered with some sort of plan. “And find out if you can save yourself while saving this guy!”

With another of his tricks, he revived the giant I slashed into half. I realized I haven’t moved an inch since I killed it. The giant’s eye suddenly grew red and an aura of rage manisfested around him. He attack me while my back is still cornered behind a tree. So this is what he was aiming for…

Turty charged in and blocked the swing. The swing that sent me flying up a tree powered up by an aura of rage didn’t stop. Thanks to her, it was redirected which left me unharmed but sent her crashing to the ground.

She still stood up. The pure white silk robe now dirtied brown and red. “Those tricks really do their work…”

She already lost her temper. She pointed her finger to the giant before it could attack me again and sent out a lighting that peirced through it.

She glared back to the demon. The demon smile and said. “I’m glad you decided not to make this boring for me.”

Turty charged up this weapon with lightning. She used lightning on her weapon 2 more times. But after the 3th lightning she realized something. 4 special moves was the limit.

The demon also charged his weapon with lightning. He was only able to put in 2 of these powerful bolts.

Then… they looked at each other with an intent to kill.

Chapter 6: Monster

They charged in. Destruction and havoc left in their path. Those powerful bolts expanded to multiple lightnings. They struck down everything around them.

Turty at the last moment decided to just strike with 2 of those powerful bolts and one of it protecting her. She surrounded herself with a lightning barrier.

Their weapon finally colided and a flash of bright light instantly covered the whole jungle. After the flash of light, there was nothing left. The jungle we were standing on became a field of dark ash. I saw myself protected by the same lightning barrier Turty had. Seriously, that girl can never forget my safety.

They weren’t floating and flying in the air anymore. Both of these powerful Gods stood heavily damage.

“Heh. You found a way to turn it around.” the demon said. He then dropped to the ground.

Turty didn’t say a thing back. I ran to her to see how she was doing. I took a look at her face and she seems depleted. She was still beautiful as ever. Our eyes met for a moment and we both felt relieved. I hugged her and she hugged me back. This was the longest day of our lives.

We both dropped to the ground with her still in my arms. “What an insane day.” I said.

“True. I can’t believe I’m a God now.” she replied.

“Thank you Turty. For being alive. For keeping us both alive.” I prayed to her.

She grew blue and she felt her power regenerate. She smiled. She turned to me and put her hand on my cheeks. I could kiss her right now. No joke. But that can come later. She healed both of us.

We both stand and saw we were in the middle of the ash field.

We turned our backs on the day that changed our lives. It was over.

Or so we thought.

“I told you…. I’m a God that lived way longer than you.” The demon stood and held out a blue brick. He also went all blue. “I will eleminate other Gods in my way! I’ll be the ultimate creator!”

He healed himself.

Turty and I knew we were in trouble. “Turty! Please run! You can’t take this fight any longer.” I begged her.

Even though we were both healed. She’s out of Godpower and with the last attack she did, it destroyed her weapon.

The demon smiled with excitement. He charged his weapon again with lightning.

There was just a few seconds to prepare but we already know what to do. The demon charged in at us.

In the final moments, Turty pull out the portal the demon used earlier.

We both jumped in.

But the portal denied my entry.

I was shot out.

Then instantly, I took the hit of the Raiki, the lightning charged weapon slash….

Chapter 7: Control

Everything became dark. I didn’t feel anything. Is this what they would call death? Is it finally my turn…. even though they kept me alive during the battle.

I opened my eyes expecting to see a white room but all I see is the sky. The same damn sky in this damned world. But how….

I looked at my body and it was a sight I could barely describe. I lost my lower body. My other arm…. All that’s intact to my chest were my left arm and my head…. I can feel my left arm with some burnt crisps and ashes. I’m still bleeding heavily but I’m still alive…

“Interesting…” said the demon

The sound that made me panic. I turned my head to where he is. He’s approaching me with his insane smile.

“Hey….. What’s your name little hero??…” He asked.

“Owy….. Yale…” I replied.

“Its looks like you could need an explantion right now. And a little help. How about it? I’ll do that.”

I knew it was too good to be true. He wants something in return. “In exchange for what? I’m not expecting you to do that for free.”

He laughed… “I knew you were smart.”

He paused. He used another blue brick and healed me. It’ll take a few minutes to regenerate my lost parts so in the mean time, he began his explanations. “You seem to have the blood of the Ancients. Noble-born Ancients. You’d have no reason to be here unless something bad really happened. Because Ancients avoid battles. I’m sure nobody told you that yet…”

“Thats!…No one….” I was confused…

He continued. “I can see it in your eyes…. The only huge reason why Ancients like you should avoid battles is because you’re like a monster. All the parts in your body will continue to function, even if all other parts are damaged.”

He paused again. And grinned. “You saw it for yourself. Alive with almost only the head and the body.”…. “Through history. You’ve been despised. I mean. Why not?! Your ability is almost cheating death itself…. You only die when nothing of you remain. Fire for example” He then grinned more strongly.

I flashed backed to the memory of my burning house…. It wasn’t an accident.

I regenerated. I stood up. I looked at him not knowing what to feel. Anger. No. Sadness. No. Gratitude?! No!..

I felt empty. It was too much to take in. My capacity couldn’t take it so I broke.

“Demon…. What do you want in return??.. Hurry up and take it.” I asked quickly.

His grinned lowered. He walked to me.

He then stabbed me into the heart with his bare hands…

“Oh please…. I just want you to be my pet.”
he whispered.

I…. was getting… weaker…

I could still hear him but my vision faded.

“Do you wanna know why I was bloody when I arrived here? It was because I killed the hero who failed to worship me properly.. He revives himself and I have all the fun killing him…. But you know what? He dies too easily…. MWHAHAHAHAA. NOW! I want you.” he screamed.

I opened my eyes again seeing the hole in my chest. The demon was infront of me. He healed me again.

“Pet. Call me demon no longer…. It’s Reyzhor now.” he said as he dragged me away.

And that was the start of my hell….

Volume 1 Is over! That was actually just the intro. I’m planning the story for a long run.

like. Volume 2: Turty’s Rescue. (She plans on freeing Owy) I plan to reveal the secrets of God Making Here. Turty will train to be a proper Goddess in the Mountain of “Homolympus” (Subjected to named change in the volume) and that she’ll have Goddess friends. And a Hero. somethings like thay.
Volume 3: The Clensing (God’s Plan to “clense the world”) I know this one is pretty cliche but I haven’t seen it in Godville. so. Yeah. With the release of Arks. Sailing. twos of a kind. Seriously. I’d so make something out of it.
Volume 4: Trancedance (Here is all about Godhood. What a hero does when he has ultimate powers of a god) I’m not planning on turning Owy Yale into a God now.. would I? Well. Maybe. That’ll all in the near future.

P.S. no furthur update till i get my laptop. this cellphone is so hard to use.
