Losing Everything
“No! I do not want a daughter who wants to fight!!!!! Since you refused to follow our way of life, you are hereby no longer a part of the Kobayashi clan!!!!!” the Kobayashi clan leader screams at poor Earsha.
“Father! blood and love bonds us together! I have been taught that since I was a little girl! Are you throwing away all the Clans beliefs over this?!” she asks as she sobs. “You shall not talk back to me young lady, Now get out of my sight!”
Just like that, Earsha lost everything, she was all alone. But little did she know, way up above there was a young goddess who was lonely as well,
The goddess Leara.
Chapter 1
That’s What Friends Are For
Earsha fled from the Maine Hall trying to stop crying. All she had with her were the clothes on her back and the few items she had in her pockets . her father was merciless in her banishment . He had not even allowed her to grab anything before leaving. she was walking down the main road to leave her families complex . Everyone looked up but then quickly looked away as they realized who it was. They already knew what happened. Earsha was appalled at how they were treating her. How could they not see that she was still family.
“That’s okay, I don’t need them!” she thought bitterly to herself. however, she knew she would be lying to herself if she said that she wasn’t going to miss them , that she wasn’t hurt by all of this. suddenly, one woman blocked her path . “Your mother would want you to have this” she said. The woman’s name was Tana. Earsha had known her since she was born. Her mother, Letisha, had been best friends with this lady. Now, Tana was holding out the sword that have belonged to Earsha’s mother before she had passed.
“Thank you” Earsha whispered as she carefully took the sword. Tana knew what this girl had been through. in the past, women and men had fought to protect their plans. Earsha’s mother had been one of those women. Ever since she had fallen in battle, Earsha’s father had Grown colder. He treated the heiress to the clan, his only child extremely harshly. When she had wanted to fight, Tana could understand why the clanhead was opposed. She also knew that Earsha was a headstrong young lady. She did what she wanted when she wanted and no one could stop Her. She had a sunny disposition and was not easily angered but she was Stubborn. she was sarcastic and had a big heart but overall, she was determined.
Tana believed that one cannot shield someone from the world. Only, give them the tools to defend themselves for what is to come. Tana gave Earsha a hug and then She was on her way. She didn’t know where she was going but Earsha did know what she needed. She had a weapon but she needed armor. the lilac purple dress Earsha was wearing would not fare well in battle. Off to the local Traders shop she went. Earsha didn’t even look back. This chapter of her life was closed forever.
As soon as Earsha stepped through the door the trader exclaimed, “oh my! I am honored to have you in my humble shop! You’re Earsha Ta…” “Thanks, but it’s just Earsha now” she said glumly as she looked off into the distance.
The trader swung from the ceiling by his tail and gave Earsha 247 coins for the inner lightbulb while eating a banana. “What’s all this monkey business?” Earsha Thought to herself. 20 minutes later, she had traded all the items in her pockets for money. She used that money to buy herself Some suitable armor.
Meanwhile, in the land of the Gods, a huge celebration was taking place. Currently, the god Drool a Lot was telling a story about what happened to his hero as everyone sat down to feast. The goddess QueenClaire Looked around the table. Suddenly, she noticed that the chair beside her was empty. One goddess was missing . the goddess Leara was not partaking in the feast. Claire left the celebration to go check on her friend. She knew that Leara had been spending a lot of time in her room lately. As she approached, she could hear the words of the song that Leara was singing. Claire knew that her friend often created her own songs.
“… I’m braking the Silence with my song, but there is no one here who will sing along. the crowded rooms are the most painful places. Even though they are filled with friendly faces. They want to lend a helping hand, but they cannot understand. I want to fix the broken Otherworld. I know it has the potential to be beautiful like a pearl…” Leara sang.
Her singing voice was gentle but held so much emotion." Lee, can I come in?" Clare asked. Leara walked Over to the door and opened it. In front of her, stood Clare holding a tray. A plate of chocolate and a bowl of peanut butter were sitting upon the tray. Claire knew that this was one of her friends favorite snacks.
" Well, you look nice" Leara said as she walked over to sit on her bed. “Thanks” Claire said, sitting beside her. “So, why aren’t you hanging out with everyone else? I mean, I know you like to spend some time alone but this isn’t like you. We haven’t seen very much of you over the last few weeks. Is something wrong?” Claire asked concernd. No, it’s just…"
“You want to help the Immortals. Trust me, I do too but there isn’t much we can do without having great influence on the world. For that, we need a believer, we need a hero. Claire finished for her. “I know you’re right. I just, wish I could do more. That’s all” Leara said taking a piece of chocolate and dipping it in the peanut butter.
The two goddesses talked and snacked for hours . Leara loved how Claire was so understanding. She also loved that her friend was a goofball but could be smart and mature when she wanted to be. “Well, we’ve missed all of the feast but if you want, we can still catch the end of the party” Claire finally said. “I would like that and thanks for cheering me up” Leara said smiling. “No problem. That’s what friends are for.”
