Hero's Chronicles

Once upon a time, a universe existed. A universe full of stars. Planets. People. Love and hate, black holes, white novae.

Oh and there was space.

Endless, empty space.

In a universe with so much space, not all of it can be filled up by that little everything drifting across the void.

But is the void really nothing? The answer is yes. The void is a huge Nothing, shifting and twitching, pulsating and moving, wave after wave, nothingness hits the shores of existence. And at some point, you can’t deny what lurks outside your existence. At some point, a little bit of it flows and sickers into the heads of people, animals, plants. The souls of great minds become filled with Nothing.

And people commit suicide. People sacrifice themselves to the void, the nothingness. It is sacrifice that drives a god. And even if nothing happens… It happens hard.

A hive mind spreads throughout the lands, and the hive mind does not tolerate resistance. And the hive mind takes control of good workers if it sees them. Feels them. It calls them. Jezeriel the great philosopher would be the final piece of a puzzle that would grow over the one putting it together, and the hive mind would finally think.

What a devastating thing to think about. But it would be a pity if something were to find Jezeriel first. Great minds easily get corrupted by Nothing. And corruption spreads.

Moments later the Mind goes numb. It feels nothing. And Nothing spreads through its nerves and fibers.

Welcome GREAT NOTHING to this world.
