Hero's Chronicles

December 4, 2012 ( idea for study from talking to Oblee and God of Goodness) Clinical trials on Food VCs: 05:02 The earth around me shook and the words ‘Blueberry muffins, Apple danish, Beef stew !’ appeared. The Blind Weresquirrel had 13hp snatched away from him.

I may be on to something. Going to try a heavier food. LASAGNA……. 05:07 The Blind Weresquirrel bet me that it could defeat me in its sleep, and allowed me to knock it out cold to prove it. I took its handful of nuts and 33 coins and made myself scarce before it regained consciousness.

Of course further testing will be necessary, but I feel it is either the actual weight of the food or possibly the high caloric value that has defeated them.

Test 2 Monster: Animaniac 05:23 A voice from the skies shouted: ‘Country ham and red-eye gravy with biscuits.’ Funny. 05:25 Tried baring my teeth menacingly. The Animaniac was unimpressed, and instead of fleeing remarked on how badly I needed a dentist. (Not sure if an Animaniac likes the ham or the gravy, or neither, or both)

Now that I have started my trials I find there are a million variables. Is it the cholesterol that kills them? Maybe too much fiber. Will food even work on a monster like The Gingerbread man? My head is spinning and I need a big glass of milk to calm down. Wonder what a glass of milk will do to monsters.

Trial 3 Monster : Brainstorm Trooper 05:33 A voice from the skies thundered: ‘Ice cold glass of milk.’

05:33 Poor Brainstorm Trooper, this unbreakable emergency glass is in high demand right now. I sense a big profit!

05:33 Under continuous assault and losing my ability to think straight, I applied the kinetic energy bar to the monster instead of myself. Judging by its high-pitched shriek, the Brainstorm Trooper usually heals in some other way.

No clue! I appear to have used the milk and an item in my inventory to defeat this one. I will have to say this trial is contaminated. But on the lighter side MY ice cold glass of milk was very satisfying.

Test 4 Monster : Hidden Dragon (Thanks Tha Juggla817 for food suggestion)

05:51 The Hidden Dragon cried, ‘I have wasted my life!’ and vanished. Received 40 gold coins and a seven-league shoe.

05:48 I feel oddly compelled to write the words ‘French fried taters.’ into my diary. Weird.

It took quite a while to kill the Hidden Dragon with the “taters” Was it because I had no dipping sauces or maybe this just wasn’t the Hidden Dragons particular poison? I think my next set of tests will be on different monsters using the exact same food every time. I shudder with anticipation…..not really I just like to say that sometimes.

Last entry for this period (because I can’t stop laughing)

Test 5 Monster: Truth-or-Dare Devil Food: Communion Wafers 06:33

Punched the Truth-or-Dare Devil so hard it coughed up a can of cootie repellent and died.

OK I lied about “last entry” Test 6 Monster: Superb owl Food: Hashbrown casserole with turkey, tomatoes and bacon

06:51 Rest in pieces, Superb Owl. I’ll look after this useless artifact and 22 gold coins for you.

06:49 Ants marching past me stopped and formed into the words: ‘Hashbrown casserole with turkey, tomatoes and bacon .’ I make this all the time and it will drop an elephant!

They say those lemon-lime colored soft drinks destroy your short-term memory, I wonder if it will work on monsters. It probably won’t work on a food monster. But you know what I heard? Lemon-lime colored soft drinks destroy short-term memory. That’s bound to be a myth!

March 9th, 2013 My poor beloved Significant Otter Behemoth has died. I only have 59:00 to resurrect him and I don’t know where to begin. He was a faithful companion and protector. “Heemee”, (my nickname for him) was as passionate about protecting me as he was about periodically stealing my stuff and chewing it up. It will be about 7500 coins to resurrect him. I almost NEVER have that much cash. Because I was so fond of him I am going to give 110% and really try to save him. If I don’t succeed……. …..well, life goes on.

July 14, 2013…….I’m back home @ Blue Feather Guild for a while. I have been traveling to different guilds, just to meet different people. I must say I really LOVE BFG, but everyone I’ve met has been so nice. I plan to travel a bit more in the near future but my heart is always with BFG……maybe some day I will form my own guild of people that love to travel. Maybe instead of JUST having a TOP 3, the GV Admins will also have a BOTTOM 3….YEAH ! And my band of constantly changing allies will form the BOTTOM. To have a TOP you must always have a strong bottom, so look for a cool bottom feeder guild name and maybe it will be ME ! But that’s YEARS away. Just thinking out loud. BFG and it’s allies, let’s stay on top if the GODS will it!

September 15, 2013……..Well, I released my dear Behemoth. He didn’t level up anymore and was just becoming a whining complaining nuisance. I know he was miserable because he felt useless, so I released my best bud to find happiness elsewhere. I will never forget him. We were together for 10 months and he was a faithful friend….ummm except for when I had had too much fun at the pubs and passed out before I could get to an inn. Behemoth had a terrible habit of “making water” on my boots. Could be he thought it would protect me. No one ever bothered me, so I guess it worked —but NASTY NASTY habit it was. I hope my next pet is a mean green fightin’ machine!

September 28, 2013………….I have a cool new companion I call Gleep. Time will tell if he is as true blue as Behemoth but I think we will bond soon enough. When I drank too much Behemoth would drag me to the nearest alleyway to sleep it off. Make his usual deposit on my boots and cuddle up next to me. Gleep, however, should be able to wisk me off to much safer territory for a more discreet sobering, minus fluids on my boots.
