Hero's Chronicles

Written 11-14-17 (09-22-17) 3rd person
Brightlyn Sparke’s heroic body began manifesting in one of Godville’s empty lots. She was formerly called I am Lost since she had not found her name yet, or the name of her deity, who was formerly known as Find Thyself.

A cryptic message from the heavens left on the empty lot instructed her to do whatever it took to survive in this strange land of Godville and to make the most of her experiences here. Her god hasn’t left her abandoned since, and hopefully in the future as well.

The first this chronicle has ever been written for the beautiful heroine known as Brightlyn Sparke, who to many seems like a shining beacon of hope, but deep inside her fire is struggling to keep on going. Although 53 days in Godville, she is still trying to discover new things in this land, mostly to keep her bright fire alive. She’s dedicated to finishing that temple for her deity, and as a consequence, she has had to fight for it in the arena. Her fondness of the arena wasn’t easily obtained. She has had to endure hardships and bouts of difficulty, but she keeps alive knowing that her god is there to watch over her constantly, encouraging her through the thick and thin that she faces. Death may have found her numerous times, but it hasn’t taken a hold of her, thanks to her ever-supportive deity who speaks more in actions than words.

Others may not see it, but Brightlyn is heavily scarred. And we’re not talking just physically here, although 180 arena fights in less than 2 months will give any hero severe scarring. She has always had a reluctant personality, and being thrust into so much has basically left her very little time to compose herself, and it’s taking a toll on her emotionally and mentally. Her god maybe mostly encouraging, but soon that may not be enough. A relatively quiet guild and number of friends isn’t helping her case either.

My god’s personality had changed a bit. He has sent a tad more lightning bolts lately, especially when it comes to when I’m in the arena fighting an opponent. I appreciate that he’s trying to help, but I sometimes wish his aim would be better. I can’t complain though, he is still constantly there for me, ever-supportive of most of the things I do. I’ve heard rumors about my god’s dark side, which I’m glad I’m not allowed to see. He still doesn’t talk to me much, but when he does, it’s in a cryptic way which doesn’t even seem to be directed to me at times. I find that odd. Don’t tell my god Dormant State of Mind, but I think he’s kind of a weirdo. How else would he like a beautiful heroine such as myself?

My god is back. He has made his presence felt again after so long. I honestly never thought that he would remember and come back for me. I guess I shouldn’t have complained so much in the past, but bygones are bygones. At least he has come back. He still doesn’t talk to me much though, that’s for sure. My god Dormant State of Mind is definitely kind of a weirdo, though I’m not sure if he still likes a beautiful heroine like me?
