Hero's Chronicles

Pantheon was born from strong bloodlines of common status. Her mother, Cassiopeia, was a tavern keep of lowly means. At first, known for her beauty, Cassiopeia proved herself when she organized the villagers and townsfolk in a battle against marauders. She led them on to victory and was hailed as the towns greatest warrior. Rightly so, her father, who was not around much, was a great general in Godville’s army. He helped to defeat one of the greatest races that was a constant threat to Godville during it’s tumultuous times. He was hailed as a cunning tactician and was the fiercest in battle. During Godville’s last battle defending the capital, he fell saving the life of one of his men by the hand of a traitorous lieutenant looking to take his position. Knowning their child was to be special, they gave her a name of heavenly means.

As a child, Pantheon was a spitfire. Never one to back down or stand aside, she was very outspoken and stubborn. Her mother would always complain that she would never tend to her chores or duties, but instead spent much of her time learning to fight. Since she started, at the tender age of three, she showed much potential.

When she was 13 years old, slave traders from the east attacked her village. By this time a decent fighter, she successfully helped to defend her mother, but her little sister was taken. Angered by the injustice, she swore to find her and bring her back. For years she traveled the lands, learning new things and becoming a better fighter. When she returned home at age 18, her mother decribed her as a different person. “She left her my daughter, but she returned a battle hardened warrior.” Unfortunately, when she finally caught up with her sisters kidnappers and tracked her to the king who bought her, she was too late. Her sister had been executed, choosing pride and honor over the humiliation of bowing to another. This event changed her.

In the years she was away, she had honed her warrior skills, even spending time commanding a mighty army that helped to defend Godville after learning of her sisters fate. There she found her fathers killer and exacted her revenge. Raging with the revenge and anger inside her, she travelled far and wide seeking a purpose. Finally, after five years and weary from the life she’d been leading, she found herself finally returning home. She recieved a warm welcome from her mother, but the villagers, seeing the change in her eyes, now feared her. Her blue eyes were dark and piercing filled with and unspeakable fire that promised death. Afraid of her wrath and deadly fighting skills, the villagers rallied together and drove her out. Choosing not to kill the village, she bid goodbye to her mother promising to see her again one day, and left to find herself.

In the meantime, what Pantheon did not know was that she was being closely watched. The great Goddess Amarastu had laid eyes upon her since birth, knowing Pantheon had great promise. For eighteen years she silently watched as Pantheon grew into a warrior. When Pantheon left her village, she was depressed and lost. This is when Amarastu came to her Chosen. She explained to Pantheon, promising greatness and power if she fought for her. Looking to feed the darkness within her, she accepted to fight for her Goddess and spread destruction in her wake. Watching her heroine mature and become a better warrior, Amarastu had Pantheon create the Destruction for Honour guild. Here she could recruit other heroes and heroines in their quest of destruction in honour of their own gods.

GOD DIARY: Entry 1

My Chosen One is doing well so far. She has excelled in all warfare, and is spreading my will of destruction. Finally, after all this millennia, I am pleased that this mortal surpasses all her predecessors. I will make her great, her name sounding throughout history written in blood. When the feeble sheep of this world hear her name, they will quake in fear in remembrance of her merciless acts! Perhaps I shall endow her with immortality, to forever spread my glory throughout the known world. Or, in time, I will take her to be at my right side and mold a heroine in her own like. For now though, she will continue her path of destruction in my name.

GOD DIARY: Entry 2

Something odd has happened this day. I sent down my voice for a sacrifice and my favored seemed to not hear me. I was troubled of course, and feared her wounds she received in her last great battle may have affected her more than I anticipated. She is still human after all, but I know I healed her thoroughly. I think I may be worrying for nothing. She is pleasingly obedient and wouldn’t think to defy me. It is of no matter, she is, and always will be my favored, a perfect example of what humans need to strive to become. She is perfection.

GOD DIARY: Entry 3

I am troubled now. Several times I sent down my voice and she ignored me! Ignored ME! Of course I punished her, but it almost seemed like she enjoyed it. I fear her injuries from her battle in The Jagged Peaks was worse than I had first imagined. But I have healed her countless times since then. What could be wrong?

GOD DIARY: Entry 4

Ok, this idiot is just broken. I sent down my voice and she either does the complete opposite or just ignores me altogether. And it seems I’m going to have to up my punishing because she is just enjoying the attention. Then, she goes on a quest to lead a horse to water and make it drink. Who does that?! I think the only good thing here is she is still spreading destruction and recruiting others into the guild.

GOD DIARY: Entry 5

WHY WON’T YOU LISTEN?!?!?!?!

GOD DIARY: Entry 6

I apologize for my last entry. I was a little frustrated. It seems something is going on with my girl. Nothing has changed. She listens every once in awhile, but now it’s like she’s……………….not all there. I mean, she was fighting a monster and got her jaw broken when the monster told her that her shoelaces were untied. SHE DOESN’T EVEN HAVE SHOELACES!!!! Woosah….woosah……….woosah. Perhaps this is just a phase she is going through. Must be too much pressure.
