Hero's Chronicles

Born under a tempest of boredom, the Dark Ominous One knew she was destined for greatness. Either that or a life with a painfully untrue name.

After 9 months, in a great rush, she finished the temple of her Eternally Forgiving Goddess Alllexia.
Finally her dream had been achieved. She had a place to pray to her Goddess. But alas! A temple is not a home. It has not a room to store all her ever-expanding collection of orc erotica, nor does it have a place to distill alcohol.

So, with the same zeal that drove her to build a temple, The Dark Ominous one set out to save money for her dream home. “It’ll look awful much like a tavern”, her Goddes was heard boasting in the guild after peeking through her sketches.

For the Ark the heroine had found another driving force: her grief after the death of her first pet. After its death she had found herself unable to keep another soul close to her for more than 10 levels and she sincerely hopes naming a monster-saving boat after her beloved would make a beautiful tribute.

Strangely, The Dark Ominous One had found herself less and less drawn to the tavern the harder she worked towards her goals. She was far too busy to waste time as she used to, watching other drunk heroes fight or bonding over a barrel of ale with some wandering monster or another. Even her everfailing quest for love had changed itself to quiet afternoons in the temple, praying and collecting money.

After caring for her beloved solar bear for 7 months, The Dark Ominous One celebrated Nessie’s 30th level. The empty space left after the loss of her first animal companion a year before had found itself filled once more by the sweet shiny bear at her side. It had sacrificed itself for her countless times and every time the heroine had rushed to heal and revive her sweet ball of fur. She knew Nessie is the one partner she trusts and needs in her life. “I’ll make Nessie the captain of my new ship!” she proclaimed one day during her daily prayer. “There is no being I trust more than it and it’s only fitting as a 30th level gift for it!” she added with renewed zeal.

Oh, Nessie, Nessie. The Dark Ominous One had so many plans for you! She was so torn when you died so soon after your 30th level, such was the rush she felt to revive you that she failed every endeavour and the time ran out. You had come back by yourself and she loved you dearly. She kept you by her side for months, but you weren’t the same. Her betrayal weighed down on you severely and eventually you parted.

A young double dragon called Behemoth has taking a liking to her.
