Heroes Are Born In The Fire of Chaos
Lord Commander Ismail was but a lowly noble of almost no praise, living among many other “privileged” men in the city of Godville. His father was commander of an army and his Mother had died during his birth. When he was young he had fell in love with a young woman by the name of Mira, and the two were quickly married. He had spent most of his time watching over games at the Arena and dreaming of glory. One day Lord Ismail had been too ambitious and found himself the target of an assassination attempt. While Ismail lay in bed with his wife, the killer snuck in through the window ready to end his life. What the killer did not suspect was the wife of Ismail waking up and shrieking, an action that would cause her to be swiftly executed. It was at that moment that Ismail had awoken and the Guards rushed into the room to the aid of their lord. The assassin, now outnumbered, ran away, leaving the poor noble to hold his dying wife in his arms. Ismail grieved for his wife for many days and began to plot to find the murderer who had caused him much pain. He decided that he will no longer lay defenseless and to take up arms. It was at this time that Lord Ismail had chosen to dedicate himself to Vyena, Goddess of Justice, Knowledge, and Health. Vyena saw the poor broken man and bestowed upon him her blessing, deeming Lord Ismail her Champion.
Champion of Vyena
Lord Ismail, now determined, began himself upon a path to fight the assassin. To do this, he trained among the greatest fighters in the land of Godville and through his Determination and Will, found himself quickly beginning to learn the true ways of the warrior. After several years in Isolation, away from those who might betray him, Lord Ismail was now ready to return to society and find his wife. He met up with another warrior, Lord Aharon, the Scourge of Sephoris and a trusted friend. Lord Aharon was sympathetic to the cause of Lord Ismail and decided to help him find his wife by interrogating all the nobles of Godville. The search went on for months until finally they were able to find a man who told them that the Assassin was hired from the Assassin’s Order and begged them to stop their search or to face deadly consequences. The two heroes knew the risks of going against the organization and decided they would need to start an Army to succeed. The men left to find able men to aid their cause and the world trembled as a force of Light and Darkness began to march towards victory.
The Legion of the Dead
Growing up, Ismail had always heard of the Legion of the Dead, an ancient order dedicated to fighting evil monsters. It’s Units had been consistent of all men no matter who they were. With the legion having been disbanded years ago, he took the opportunity to start up another installment of it. This time it would be a better Legion, one that is incorruptible and able to form a true fighting force. He obtained 3 more members to his party and developed the new Legion with the intention of not only hunting monsters but fighting the Assassins who murdered his wife.
