Once upon a time, there was a maid that went into a wayside shrine to pray. Within she found a feminine being surrounded with auras of mystery, power, and holiness. The maid whispered, “Who art thou?” The being answered, “I am She Who Meditates.” “Are you a goddess?”, was the maid’s next question. The being replied, “I am She that casts out devils. I am She that speaks with new tongues. I am She that can take up serpents and if I drink any deadly thing, it shall not harm me. I am She that can lay hands on the sick and they recover. Yet, there is One far mightier than I. It is from Him that I obtained such power.”
With fervent zeal swelling in her bosom, the maid proclaimed, “From henceforth I shall be known as She Image. Entreat me not to leave thee, or to return from following after thee. For whither thou goest, I will go; and where thou lodgest, I will lodge. Thy people shall be my people, and thy God my God. Where thou diest, will I die, and there will I be buried!” 17:50: Can you hear me, my Lady? I’m never gonna give you up, never gonna let you down.
She Who Meditates said, “Very well She Image. The One Greater than I is looking for recruits. We are in a great battle against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.” “What is His Name and how do I join?”, asked the newly dubbed She Image. She Who Meditates replied, “His name is Jesus Christ, the Almighty God. Join by repenting of your sins and being baptized in the name of Jesus Christ. Then tarry by calling the name Jesus until He fills you with the Holy Ghost. You’ll know you have received it because you will speak in a language you’ve never spoken in before. Then put on the whole armor of God and fight every devilish monster in the name of JESUS!” Upon hearing the name Jesus, She Image’s knee bowed and her tongue confessed that Jesus Christ is Lord.
From that day till now, She Image has been in the service of the Lord, not letting tribulation, distress, persecution, famine, nakedness, peril, sword, or anything else BUT drinking beer and gambling separate her from the love of Christ. 12:54: I vaguely recall being at the pub, drinking booze, and even more booze… But that’s all I could remember. Now I’m missing 3309 coins from my purse. My Lady, I really should give up drinking.
