Hero's Chronicles

The last thing I remember is going into turn three at Daytona. Now I stand in a bright white light and a voice reverberates in my very soul. “Dale Earnhardt Sr., you have done great things on Earth, my son. To show the appreciation of all your fans, I am giving you a second chance in my new land of Godville.” Before I can question anything, I close my eyes, my senses start to sharpen, my pulse begins to race, and the adrenaline kicks in. Gentlemen start your engines! Boogity Boogity Boogity! Lets go racin’ boys! The flag drops and I’m quick out the gate. Questing, defeating monsters, and other heroic deeds, I quickly rose to level 10.

In my first attempt to pass someone in the arena, nobody wanted to trade paint with me. A second attempted pass yielded the same results. Maybe everyone is just intimidated by my speed, because they just let me pass them without a single bump or rub! Finally! A hero named Ciscero challenged me and I gave a gentle nudge to pass. Woot! I kind of like this arena for passing the other heroes! Now I’m looking for a team (guild) to draft (join) with to improve my chances.

Slingshot pass of another hero put me in a new alignment. I am now a Hard Charger! (pure evil) Long, hard arena battles pay off!

Hey, here comes the Harvest Moon team! Maybe I can draft with them. I’ll have my crew chief (God) check with them.

I have the o.k., all I have to do is catch up and pick up the draft. Dropping the hammer!

Battled and passed 4 drivers. Passed another 6 without a fight (no match). Didn’t get passed at all! Also picked up 12mph (levels) compared to qualifying (creation). Things are looking up for me!

Caught up with the pack of Harvest Moon drivers. As long as I keep with the draft, they said I can stick with them and we’ll go far.

Hard fought battles led me to pass 4 drivers. I also flew past another 6 without any troubles. Picked up 2mph. Still didn’t get passed! I am amazing!

CAUTION! CAUTION! CAUTION on the raceway!

A hard battle for position and I cut a tire. Had to slow to get to the pit and got passed on the way in by 3 drivers. Maybe I was overconfident. A quick 2 tire stop and a splash of fuel puts me out 6 places up.

We’re back to green flag racing! Woo Hoo! My crew chief challenged me to the YTAT Summer Tournament where I can only use my radio (voice commands) to pass other drivers. I successfully passed A R I E S in the first go around. The true definition of Intimidation!

Race Stoppage due to a horrible wreck

After a thorough smash into the wall by Royal Highness in the YTAT, Dale’s car is strewn across the track. It may take a while to recover and clean up the track.

While waiting for the cleanup, my crew chief tells me about a new crew member. A Significant Otter named Pilot, so I say my welcomes and get ready to get back to racing.

Passed 36 drivers. I also got passed 10 times. The passing is getting harder and harder with each lap that goes by.

I picked up an extra 26 mph compared to qualifying.

My crew chief told me over the radio we are building a new track at our team headquarters. High banked superspeedway, road course, and some crazy stunt ramps. We are also keeping a few tricks up our sleeves for the grand opening!

Pilot resigned (died) and I got a new crewman, a Vogon Poet named Nipper. Maybe he’ll stick around for a while.

Man my lap times are picking up, a total of 30 mph faster than qualifying!

On January 2, 2014 this happened! 04:26 PM Carefully placed the last brick, swept all the rooms, opened all doors, and cut the ribbon in a stately manner with my sword. I can’t believe it’s finally happened! After all these months of work, the temple in your name is finished, my Lord! I feel crazy with happiness.
