Hero's Chronicles

The Sisters of the Spear, Research Division. Fourth of Breton, 24th year of the Imperial Calender

Experimental Physical Augmentation Procedure Progress Report, Dr. Luis Vallon

The Valerie sisters’ volunteering for the Procedure has sped along our research. Lucille in particular has taken to the EPA quite well. Preliminary tests have shown the two to be working at the level of Earth Station’s best trained soldiers, despite having only basic Academy combat training. A massive metabolic boost has caused them to need large amounts of food, but has also allowed their bodies to quickly shape into their ideal forms. Despite the physical changes, their minds remain sharp. It is clear why they were the top of their class in the Academy. Further reports to follow.

The Sisters of the Spear, Research Division. Twenty Sixth of Breton, 24th year of the Imperial Calendar

Experimental Physical Augmentation Procedure Progress Report, Dr. Luis Vallon

The progress of the Valerie sisters has broken all of our initial projections. Physically speaking, they have been perfected. The EPA treatments have worked so well that the fast metabolism reported in the earlier message has stabilized and modified to reach a point where we have determined that the Arcana in their bodies has allowed them to eat as much or as little as they desire while maintaining a body at the peak of physical condition. Combat simulators are no longer sufficient to challenge them, nor are live opponents, despite drawing on several highly respected military figures for their sparring partners. Mental tests have shown that their intellects and deductive skills have increased as well. Further reports to follow.

The Sisters of the Spear, Research Division. Fourth of Fallows, 25th year of the Imperial Calendar

Experimental Physical Augmentation Procedure Progress Report, Dr. Diadara Felton

The Valerie sisters completed the Procedure over the holidays. Final results showed them to be so far advanced that we hesitate to continue to call them human. A failure in the containment field, brought on by unknown causes, allowed them to escape. Last known location: Dimensional Research Lab. Dr. Vallon was killed by the blast caused by the rupture in the field. No further reports to follow.

The Director looks up from the reports, green eyes wide as she looks at Dr. Felton. “So, it worked?”

Dr. Felton sighs, crossing her legs and looking to the side. “Technically speaking, yes. It worked. As of this point, we are unsure why it worked so… well. According to all our projections, they should have halted progress at the point of human perfection, but they merely continued advancing.”

The Director nods, then leans back in her chair. “Do we have no theories on why?”

Dr. Felton’s eyes drop to the floor, and she shakes her head. “Officially speaking, no. Personally, I believe that Valerie sisters used the initial augmentation to figure out how to release the limiters in the Arcana.”

The chair squeaks as the Director sits forward once more, steepling her fingers. “That’s not possible. We both know that.”

Felton shakes her head. “Not possible for us. The natural limiters exist, and have never been broken, but it has always been suspected that there could be a way to remove them. The Valerie sisters may have advanced enough under the initial treatments that they figured out how to remove the limiters for the final sets.”

The Director’s eyes narrow, and she purses her lips. “Did they bring further treatments with them when they escaped?”

Felton again shakes her head. “If my theory is correct, they didn’t need to. The Arcana in their bodies at this point is enough that without the natural limiters, it would naturally reproduce itself at a greater rate than it decays.”

The meeting is interrupted by a knock at the door. The Director informs Felton that she is grateful for her service, and that she will look into her theory. Felton stands and turns to leave. As the door opens in front of her, a slight noise is heard on the recording. No visuals show what happened, but Felton falls to the floor. After being rushed to Medical, she dies. The cause is still unknown.

A few weeks later, the Valerie sisters return to Earth Station through a swirling tear in space in the main hall of the East Wing. This is the last event recorded and sent by Earth Station before it disappears from all scans. Subsequent searches have confirmed it to be gone.

Genna Lucille

The Sisters have a unique biological signature that allows them to adapt to whatever reality they jump to. This means that whenever they move, they obtain the correct physiology to be able to use any abilities unique to that reality. When they leave that reality, some of the physiology remains, allowing them to access the abilities with relative ease, even outside of the abilities’ home reality.

Along with tech from their home reality, which makes up the base of their gear, they have traveled to the land of the Stormlight Archives, (Genna is a Skybreaker, division and gravitation, Lucille a Windrunner, gravitation and adhesion) which has originated some of their signature items. (Their spears are adapted Shardblades, which they call Shardspears. Their suits take some aspects of Shardplate, as well as other things.)

Other important realities they have visited will be added as their influence is shown on the forums.
