Lilbene saw a beanstalk and climbed it. Hill of Beans saved him from a frightening fall and is owed a debt of gratitude and lifelong service. Lilbean spent his years fighting the monsters of the land and running away when he happened to get in over his head. He was not always righteous and became somewhat of a drunkard as he traveled from town to town and to milestone from milestone. But Hill of Beans loved the little man and blessed him daily. He has been companion to a dust bunny, a sundog, some kind of racoon, and now travels with a bear. His pets are named Sparky, more often than they are not and they always seem to die around rank 10.
