Level 7
Golden Ranger finally turned 7, and could replace the default motto: To Godville! After many tries, Golden Ranger finally decided on a really dumb motto: Yawn…
Luckily, at that time, gods can change their hero’s mottos. I decided to change his to a more inspiring one: To the land of glory! Golden Ranger was sulking though. He preferred a one-word-motto.
Level 10
Golden Ranger had been permitted to the Arena for battles. Since Golden Ranger is a really, really dumb scaredy-cat and a lazy pig, he was reluctant to have his first Arena fight. Unluckily for him, I had other plans for him…
Once Golden Ranger stepped into the Arena (forced act), he fainted on the spot. There was fearsome judges to begin with, and muscle-rippling brutes with ugly tatoos ready to tear him apart. Unluckily for me, nobody wanted to fight with him, and Golden Ranger ended up bribed with a golden brick and sent home.
I looked at the sign: Level 10 and above heroes are considered mature enough to witness blood and violence. I razed it to the ground immediately.
It was just as well, I consoled myself, at least that dumb fellow had his first golden brick.
Level 12
This day is the most shameful and most pathetic day of Golden Ranger’s life. Excited to join a new guild, he had gone around, knocking on doors and begging guild masters to let him join, tears streaming down his face horribly.
In the end, the guild First Pantheon of Progress accepted Golden Ranger after he bribed the guild with 183 lotus paste buns and 462 cans of green tea. But yet again, I had a few other plans for him…
After reading that guilds can be created, Golden Ranger was forced to create one under the threat of many, painful lighting bolts and eternal torture. And this guild is called Blue Feather guild.
After creating this guild, Golden Ranger found out that Blue Feather is at the very, very bottom of the unity pantheon. He had to check the guild’s status, town influence, gold fund and unity number, not to mention the guild campaigns and recruitment policies and forums.
After all this, Golden Ranger did became smarter, wiser, better and bolder, much to the delight of me.
Level 15
Golden Ranger was finally experienced enough to learn a skill. His first skill was awkward silence. Not that he Golden Ranger was bad with skills, but he was literally a slow learner and took a long time to master it, especially one that needs him to stand at a side to watch traders if they were cheating customers. Sigh.
It took about 4 months for his skill to be upgraded to level 10. This resulted in many of his other skills to be learnt slowly as well… I really wanted to abandon my hero, but he was constantly asking me questions about his guild. Sighs again.
To be continued…
