Hero's Chronicles

Welcome to Godville

There he was, sitting in front of a group of teenagers, listening as they all shouted out questions at which he did not intend to answer.

The man was old, at least in his mid ninety’s, though he did not look it. His gray hair and slightly wrinkled face were the only hints to his old age. He had on an expensive black suit that, aside from the guards on either side of him, was the only sign of his wealth. He wore an antique golden watch on his left wrist, to most this was known as the Godville watch, for it was known to be passed down from generation to generation. Only his family knew what the watch was for and most, aside from him himself, were deceased… this created a rather difficult situation for him. Without this watch, or without Someone to use it, the Godville that his father created would diminish, and his family secret would be out…he would not allow that to happen. He knew that he would not have this problem if only his wife hadn’t been so nosey, and his son so naive. Of course then theres his daughter…. She was something he didn’t like to reflect, much less talk about.

Seventy years ago his father, who back then was only know as one of the devs of Godville, came up with an ingenious idea. The idea itself wasn’t that ingenious, (considering their are several movies about this kind of thing) but the fact that he figured out how to make it work. His father had revealed to the rest of the “devs” his idea with the rest of them. People protested, obviously, his father knew that that was unavoidable, and he was prepared to eliminate those who opposed him or asked too many questions. As their protest became louder his father revealed…well lets just say people starting becoming a little more open minded about his idea after that.

He envisioned some type of dome out in the middle of the Atlantic, where people would come from all over just to get a glimps of it. Where every child would beg to go. Where the world of Godville would become real. It would have all the same rules of the previous Godville ,with some minor additions here and there in order to work with the real world. His father said it would be only available to the rich at the beginning (for they will need the money in order to keep it running amongst other reasons) but it would soon the whole world would be able to enjoy his creation.

His father personally appointed himself, and his family, to be the head of it all. As time past, with a few dark deals here and there, his fathers dream became a reality, and now he was continuing his legacy. Taking the title, God of Godville, for now he was the man in charge of it all.
